I think it's safe to say that all of us have the BEST mom in the world!
Okay, confession. I'm usually indifferent holidays on Facebook because everyone says the saaaaame ol' thing. "Happy _______!" But today has been so different from any other hallmark holiday -- and especially touching. I loved seeing everyone's pictures and tributes to their mothers. Motherhood is truly something so special.
Honestly... after all the crap I went through in the last year, my mom has been my rock. She's not only stood by me, but she has supported me, held me, and cried with me. Other than Christ himself, my mom has been the only person to truly empathize and understand the pain I've felt and the trials I've gone through. The last 9 months have brought me not only to my knees, but closer to my mom. After breaking up with Tyler, I only tasted the pain she went through when she and my dad got divorced. Letting go of your fiance is only a fraction of what it must feel like to lose your husband. After that trial, I can now understand my mom just a little bit more, and now I respect and love her a thousand times more.
I love her so, so, SO much. I couldn't imagine one day without her just a phone call (okay, maybe 6 phone calls, 4 voicemail messages and 2 texts) away.
(Yes, I love her -- but she's the hardest person to get ahold of sometimes. And trust me, I'm not the only person who feels this way ;)
